    This is the beach where my mother grew up, where I first learned to swim and where my heroic cousin lost his life saving children caught in a rip tide. Needless to say this 16" X 20" oil painting evokes a rush of memories and is one of my favourites.

    This beautiful lady is my godmother, Francie. I asked her for a favourite photo of herself when she was a young woman then I asked one of our artists to do a 12" X 16" black and white oil painting and also to do a colour oil painting from my description and colour samples. Francie's choice was her gift from me. The other is mine.

    A number of years ago my talented sister took the photo that was the inspiration for this 12" X 16" oil painting. I thought she should have submitted it for a National Geographic photography contest but she just brushed that thought aside. However, I was always taken by her photo so I had one of our artists paint it. I can almost smell the salt air and feel the spray on my face.

 

I thought that I would give you the history behind a few of these beautiful paintings because, like me, you may have a deeply personal reason for having a painting commissioned. A. Currie

If you are considering a painting, the first thing we need from you is a quality photograph(s). Our artists can only work their magic if we can provide them with the best photographs possible.They can change backgrounds or add backgrounds from another photograph upon request.

 DIRECT COMMUNICATION

Some of our artists are not native English speakers so we try very hard not to have any instructions you give to us misconstrued. If we are unsure of any of your requests we will email or phone you directly for clarification before beginning your painting.
